The everyday freight that still has to arrive on time.
General freight is the backbone of what we haul: palletized goods, cartons, bagged product and mixed dry loads for customers who need capacity they can count on week after week.
Some of it moves on committed contract lanes we run to a schedule. The rest comes off the spot market when a regular carrier falls short and somebody needs a truck today. We treat both the same way — the load is planned, secured and dispatched around the delivery window, not around whatever is convenient for the yard.
GEN / 01
Freight we handle every week.
If it is dry, palletized and legal to haul, it is likely in our wheelhouse. If you are unsure, call dispatch and describe the load.
Palletized goods
Standard skids and stacked pallets loaded, blocked and braced so the load arrives in the shape it left in.
Cartons and cases
Boxed and cased product for distribution centres, warehouses and retail supply chains.
Mixed dry loads
Multi-SKU and multi-stop freight where the trailer is planned around the drop sequence, not just the cube.
From your call to the signed bill of lading.
Tell us the load
Pickup, delivery, weight, pallet count and the appointment you have to hit.
Rate and transit
We come back with a rate and a transit time we can actually run, not an optimistic one.
Load and secure
The trailer is inspected, the freight is loaded and secured, and the paperwork is done before it rolls.
Track and deliver
Dispatch follows the truck and calls you about a delay before you have to ask.
General freight questions we get asked.
Do you take single loads, or only contracts?
Both. We run committed contract lanes for regular customers and take spot-market loads when capacity is needed at short notice. A one-off load gets the same planning as a contract run.
Can you handle multi-stop deliveries?
Yes. The trailer is loaded in reverse drop order so each stop can be unloaded without breaking down the rest of the freight. Tell dispatch the stop sequence when you book.
Do you move general freight into the United States?
Yes. Cross-border general freight is a regular part of our work, and customs documentation is prepared and checked before the truck reaches the crossing.
How quickly can you cover a load?
It depends on where the freight is and what equipment is turning nearby. Call dispatch at 905.699.5000 and you will get a straight answer on availability rather than a maybe.
